Asia Hockey League SUPER NEWS! China Dragon Website, AND KOREAN MILITARY TEAM!!!

I know Taylor. I Know.

So naturally, the day I miss the Radio show due to work commitments, I find 2 HUGE PIECES OF ASIA HOCKEY NEWS! Seriously this is bigger than Curly Fries & Onion Rings.

The China Dragon.

A WEBSITE!!! http://www.chinaicehockey.net .

Even better, there is a Fanclub we can all join! A FAN CLUB! It's like Christmas in July! Anyway, according to the loosely translated Japanese news release, the site is to " To help you better understand the activities of the China Dragon to everyone of Japanese fans, will continue to disseminate information through a variety of home page." Thats right, the China Dragon website isn't even for the Chinese! Oh well. There loss. The China Dragon have never had their own website. Ever. We welcome them to 2013, and can't wait to see what they will post on this.

I'll give you a minute to recover from your excitement coma, but if you recall, this was only 1 part of the exciting news! What could be more exciting? Well it would have to be something extraordinary, like, oh, I don't know, a 3rd South Korean team joining the league, put together by a joint venture of the Korean Ice Hockey Federation and the Korea Military Athletic Corps?

Thats right! Officially called 'Sangmu Ice Hockey Club", the team will be the Asia League 8th team and play out of Seoul this season. Near as I can gather from the poorly Google translated news release, this team is part of South Korea's preparation to host the  2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang . No Logo or Uniforms that I've found yet, but since the season starts in September 7th, I imagine they will be released soon. The only thing that makes this even more bad ass is that the 'Korea Military Athletic Corps' actually has a number of teams in various semi professional sports ( basketball, vollyeball).

Buckle your Prince Rabbits this season kids. The Asia League is going to be awesome this year. The madness starts September 7th, and we'll have updates every Monday at about 8:10am MT on CJSR 88.5 FM.
