Eagles Sweep Bears to advance to Asia Hockey League Finals

This is the best image I could find. Seriously.
As they were putting away curling brooms in Edmonton, they were breaking them out in Tomakomai City.

The Asia Hockey League regular season champions Oji Eagles defeated Anyang Halla 5-3 in Game 3 of their semi final,  sweeping the best of 5 series 3-0. The loss ends the Bears season, and sends the Eagles to their second consecutive Asia Hockey league Final.

The Eagles, who won the league's "Leader Flag", by a staggering 22 points, lead the league in every offensive and defensive category, await the winner of the Nippon Paper Cranes - Tohoku Free Blades series. The Free Blades lead that best of five series, 2 - 1, with Game 4 going this weekend in Kushiro.

  1. Not sure I understand "lead the league in every offensive and defensive category,"

The Cranes had a better power play, High1 scored more short handed goals, Halla and the Blades gave up fewer short handed goals, the Ice Bucks goalie was the #1 regular goalie, better than Oji, and Oji players only ranked 6th and 10th in the over all points rankings. I guess other than those things..you're right..
