FunDrive 2011 Recap

Colin and I would like to thanks all of our fantastic listeners who called in and donated to Makin' Whoopee during FunDrive this year. All together, we managed to break the $4000 mark, which is completely insane. I guess the geeks really have taken over, huh?

But seriously, I can't thank you enough. Colin and I both have become more and more involved with the station as the years have gone by, and that means we really see where your donations are going. We may not be getting those gold-plated microphones this year, but we are definitely going to be able to continue our fine programming. That, of course, means you will have to put up with a lot more talk about the Avengers movie, zombies, Batman, and probably another full episode dedicated to Archie, if I'm feeling especially crazed that morning.

Over the next year, CJSR is going to continue to get better. Makin' Whoopee, too (I think Colin and I will be giving the website another re-design, for starters.) On the main CJSR site, we will probably see the return of our long-dead magazine Airtight, now in full-on web mode and socially networked out the wazoo. I can imagine Colin and I will both contribute some posts here and there. Expect to see CJSR at more shows, more Farmer's Markets, more Pop Culture Fairs.

Thanks again for the support. Keep it up by wearing your CJSR swag with pride, using your Star Card all over town, telling your friends about your favourite programs, and like the shambling zombie, biting them and converting them to our cause. Maybe even come on down and lend your skills as a volunteer.

Next year will be bigger and better, and I can't wait to see you at FunDrive 2012.

- Chad

Oh, and we'll totally get those podcasts going again. Promise?
