Anyang Halla was 2 seconds away from capturing their first Asia League Ice Hockey Championship, but the defending Champion Nippon Paper Cranes would not co-operate.
Masahi Nishiwaki tied the game for Nippon with 2 seconds remaining in regulation time, and Darcy Mitani scored the winner in Overtime, giving the Cranes a 3-2 win and tying the best of 5 series at 2 games a piece. The Cranes outshot Halla 31-21.
The Cranes win sets up a 5th and deciding, game 5, to be played Sunday in Kushiro Japan. Halla will be looking to capture their first ALIH Championship, while the Paper Cranes will be looking to defend their title.
