After losing the first two games of the ALIH Finals in Overtime, the Nippon Paper Cranes decided to make sure Game 3 would end in regular time
The defending champions not only faced elimination in front of sold out crowd in Anyang, but also 40 shots from Anyang Halla, and turned aside all but two, as the Cranes defeated Halla 5-2.
The Cranes received from much needed offence from Chris Yule, who had a goal and an assist and Darcy TakeshI Mitani, with a goal and 2 assists. Anyang Halla's Brock Radunske, continued his scoring streak, with another goal and assist.
Anyang Halla still leads the best of 5 Series 2 - 1, and can still eliminate the Cranes in Game 4, however they will have to do it in front of the Paper Cranes home crowd, considered one of the largest and loudest in the Asia League. Games 4 will take place Saturday and Game 5, if necessary, Sunday in Kushiro City Japan.
