On Todays Christmas Epsiode - DISASTER STRIKES as Chads Christmas playlist goes missing, so we kick things into Extreme Radio with some Superions and discussions on where Picard likes to party. We also do some TextBot Holiday shout outs, and then Lo and behold, a Christmas miracle occurs, and the Christmas Playlist is FOUND! Huzzah! We also update the Asian Ice Hockey League, deliver the fortune cookie and chase James Brown with some Alvin and the Chipmonks, cuz no one else would have the guts!
Velvet Underground - White Light/White Heat - The Gift
On Todays show, The lads talk Colleen Brown, and her mighty music super powers, and play some textbot trivia. They also debut some Skeptic Rap Music, and also bring back Bran Van 3000, while wondering what the hell they are doing drinking in L.A., etc etc etc ( you know the words!)
On Todays show, Colin discusses his both heart breaking but at the same time earth shattering grey cup weekend. Chad introduces the world to the Philadelphia Complaints Choir, where we learn that New Jersey drivers cannot drive, or park. They also update the Asian Ice Hockey League, and answer some formspring questions
Philedelphia Complaints Choir - Complaints Choir - Why, Why, Why
Today on the show we started talking about that Buffy the Vampire
Slayer remake that has made all the nerds mad, as it won't feature any
involvement from former writer, producer, director Joss Whedon. This
got us thinking about other movies that shouldn't be remade, but
nevertheless, led to some interesting ideas, like Will Smith starring
in Citizen Kane.
Chad raised the idea of casting Jason Statham as Jean Luc Picard in an
awful "Star Trek: the Next Generation" remake, so that got me thinkin:
what would be the worst, and yet, best cast for an unnecessary TNG
film? Here are my picks:
Picard - Jason Statham
Riker - Russel Crowe (with aussie accent)
Dr. Crusher - Jennifer Aniston
Data - Ben Affleck
Worf - Samuel L. Jackson
Troi - Kim Cardashian
Laforge - Kayne West
Wesley Crusher - Justin Beiber
Tasha Yar - Lindsey Lohan
That's my awful cast! Whuz yours?

On Todays Show, we warm up a very cold Edmonton day with some nice accordian music, and talk Movie Reboots! We decide Will Smith should be in everything, except for Running Man ( though he could be that too) and a Partridge Family Movie with Justin Beiber. We also update the Asian Ice Hockey League!
station during this year's FunDrive! It's because of your support that
schmoes like Chad and I can come on the radio waves and entertain and
annoy you each week! So thank you muchly! Also, congrats to Heather on
winning the "lovely evening with Chad and Colin 2". We'll have details
on that soon!
Now then! On to business! If you are a regular listener to the show
you'll know we sometimes play a game called "Textbot Trivia" and give
out postcards with something clever written on the back from Chad and
I. Well, we haven't played in a while cuz, darnnit, I'm out of
postcards! This means I need some artwork, and this means I need YOU!
I'm looking for YOU to design a postcard for me! You can draw anything
you like so long as you scan it and send it to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Here is the best part: everyone who submits artwork will have their
drawing turned into a postcard! Yup! Everyone! Include your mailing
address with your art and we'll even send you a copy of the printed
card! The only requirement is that your art fill a 6" x 4" space.
Other than that use you imagination and be a part of the show!
We'll take submissions for 2 weeks! Now go doodle!
CJSR the vibrant energetic and independent radio station that we all
know and love. Now the schedule only calls for 1 episode of "Makin
Whoopee", at its normal Tuesday time slot, but unfortunately, Colin
will be out of the country (and hopefully not in Guantamo Bay), and
won't be able to make it! SO Makin Whoopee is going to do another
show, Wednesday November 3rd from 9am to 11am, following "Clockwork
Orange Juice". Double Rainbows!!
That's "Makin Whoopee" with Chad and Guests, Tuesday November 2nd from
7am to 9am, and "Makin Whoopee 2" with Chad and Colin, Wednesday
November 3rd from 9am to 11am, following "Clockwork Orange Juice"!

On Todays show, Chad and Colin celebrate the return of the Asian Ice Hockey League! They also answer some questions via their ‘Ask Chad and Colin’ inbox, discuss Chad visiting New York City, and Ponder ways to fit in as a New Yorker.
Playlist to come
Hi Friends, your friendly neighbourhood Colin here, and i have a problem.
See, Chad is on Holiday next week, which means I *gulp* i have to program the music for next weeks show. ALL THE MUSIC! Normally i don't mind programming the music, and have a couple playlists as backup, just in case Chad is captured by ice wolves, or zombie elves and can't come in use and use his musical knowledge to entertain us all. However, i have already used those playlists! They are all gone, and i can't play them twice! Thats like a CJSR RULE, and if i a break it, i face the wrath of the CJSR Complaints Bear
So, dear listeners, this is where you come in!
I need YOU to help me program some music! I want your requests to play on next week's show! We usually play between 20-25 songs, so I'd like to get at least 12! This is your chance to have some of YOUR favorite music played on your 3RD Favorite Morning show! There are some criteria though: including the following:
• The song can absolutly NOT have any swearing or foul language. I'll send my Mom after you. Not even kidding
• The song can't be less than 3 minutes. Unless its like super awesome. But 3 minutes or longer preferred.
• The song has to be available for purchase or legal download. I plan on making a CD of this mix ( best audio quality)
• I would prefer the song be upbeat/uptempo etc etc. Its the Morning after all! People need their Audio Coffee.
• I would very much prefer a Canadian Artist
So there you have it folks! Your request can be any genre: hip hop, folk, bluegrass, soul! Whatever you fancy! Simply put the name of the artist, the track, the album and YOUR FIRST NAME ( so i can give you credit) in the comments of this post! Hopefully we'll have a groovy mix for next week's show!
Thanks again for listening!
COLIN: Picard gets all borg'd to hell.
CHAD: ANYTHING PICARD
On Todays show, Chad and Colin are joined by a special guest: Sally Poulsen of The Edmontonian, the Mystery Ponies and Producer/Director/Leader Bean of the ‘12 Months of Stephen Harper’ Videos. They load her up with danish and coffee, and then discuss Uncle Jesse, Teenagers who wear hats, Corey Hart, and rock out to some music by ‘The Joe’.
Playlist to come!
Colin: Weezer's Blue Album. 14.
Chad: (What's the Story) Morning Glory? by Oasis. I was 11.
Colin didn't notice cuz he was at work.
Chad assumed the Fringe burned down. Then used Twitter to find out what it actually was. And no one knew. I was SCARED.
All day I wanted BBQ.
Maybe your show should be called The Stupid Show, What Is Dumb All the Time!
(Podcasts on the way!)
We'd like to! But only if there can be somewhere there is Breakfast. Good hearty eggs and bacony breakfast, with copious amounts of Orange Juice.
Once upon a time there was CJSR volunteer named Jon, who used to do fill-ins, and would always play Mel Torme's cover of 'Makin' Whoopee' as his theme music. One day, Jon and his friend Chad got a Tuesday morning show, so they called it 'Makin' Whoopee'. Later, Jon left, leaving Chad by his lonesome, until one day, some fool named Colin knocked on the door of CJSR, looking for the washroom....
And now you know the rest of the story.
On Todays Show, Chad and Colin attempt to reel you back in from your long weekend. Textbot reveals that Pepsi was once known as 'Brad's Drink' and the boys take YOUR questions on Formspring, answering things like ' what is your favorite milkshake', ' what is the best handshake' and ' did you realize Tom Hanks acts in movies wherein no Tom Hank's exist! '
On Today's show, Chad and Colin find out the show is being carried in Ponoka Alberta. The boys discuss the Samsonowich, Seedless Fruit and Death Rays. In the second hour, Chad unleashes his inner super villain and ruins your day by playing a 'Saiji Sultana' record he found, and attempts to find the right mashup to play behind the vocals.
On Todays show, Chad and Colin discuss Edmonton's new found obsession with Thunderstorms and songs about Kraft Dinner. They learn Play Doh's original purpose ( to fight communism), discuss their favorite Star Trek series, and unfairly pick on the drink 'Fanta'.
On Todays Show, Chad and Colin discuss an RPG in which you go eat instead of fight monsters. Colin scoffs at the notion of having 'Rainfall Warnings', while Chad celebrates Sir Patrick Stewart's Birthday by playing a Sir Patrick Stewart song. They also take questions via Formspring and Textbot, and discuss the economic and environmental feasibility of building a dome over Calgary Alberta.
We are excited to present our FIRST EVER YOUTUBE FILM: 12 Months of
