Chad vs Colin 2 - The Great Danish Debate

A couple weeks back, and completely at random, Chad and I had a disagreement as to the deliciousness factor of cottage cheese. Well in subsequent polls, advice and comments, We found more people agreed with Chad ( that Cottage Cheese IS Delicious) then agreed with me ( Cottage cheese fail!) Well i swore i would have my revenge...and my revenge is today! We are now engaged in what can only be the GREAT DANISH DEBATE: Cherry Danish vs Apple Danish! As of the end of the show Today, 4 people agree with me that APPLE is the king of deliciousville, and ONLY 2 PEOPLE are fool hardy enough to enjoy Cherry Danishes..Danishs..Danishi with Chad!

So all those who love Apple danishes, VOTE ON THE POLL ABOVE! Help us stop the Cherry Danish threat!

How to get Chad And Colin to play your stuff!

Good Morning Friends! Right now the Makin' Whoopee Podcast is uploading, so while that is going on, i'd thought i'd take the time to tell YOU the hungry starving attention craving musician, how you can get your stuff played on our show! Seeing as how we are all powerful DJ's who PICK OUR OWN MUSIC (digdigdig) We do have our own criterion on what we play and what we don't play. I should preface this by saying though, that i can't speak for Chad ENTIRELY, as we do have different tastes, but we do agree on certain things! Now then, get out your pens and pencils kids: HERE IS WHAT YOU DO:

1. Well first of all. Get your CD to the station! Drop it off, Mail it, have it delivered by carrier pigeon. Whatever you have to do. Get the Details here. It doesn't have to be a full album! We play EP'S and demos and special releases all the time!
2. Have a Clever Name and Cool Cover - oh and something shiny too.
3. CLEARLY MARK YOUR TRACK LIST - I went to play a cd last week cuz it looked cool, but the track list was all swirly and artistic, and i couldnt read it! FAIL. Back on the shelf it went.
4. OH AND IF ITS NOT TO MUCH TROUBLE - Mark the track length. This goes helps a TON when putting together a set. If you put the track length by a legible track listing, we love you. Seriously.
5. DON'T SWEAR- We cant play music with cuss words that early in the morning! So don't swear, or if you DO swear, let us know on which tracks. Cool? Thanks?
6. BRING THE ROCK - Seriously! Kill it! We like nothing more than turn it up, air punching music. Throw some Banjo in there too * ( * denotes a Colin preferances )
7. EMAIL US - Hey how about pointing us to your Myspace? Email makinwhoopee@cjsr.com

Listener Weighs in on THE SPORTSDOME

On Tuesdays show we had a short discussion about what sport we should cover over the summer, as the Asian Ice Hockey League enjoys its off season. Well that discussion prompted a hilarious email from a listener, which we should you would all enjoy! Take it away DJC!

Soccer? Guys! Spare us, please! Do we have to prove again that the rest of the world is wrong? You might as well commentate on sailboat races "My God, Bryan, they're luffing frantically in a heavy chop! They'll have to come about soon!" ... "Yes, Nigel, it looks as if the French team is going to have to reef down... Another five or six hours of this and it could cost them the race!" Zzzzzz. Almost anything would be better. Personally, I don't mind Japanese baseball, the problem being that it's played to a level comparable to American pro baseball, so who cares even if the teams have great names. (Go Swallows!) How about the Korean American Football League? Chessboxing? (http://weirdnews.about.com/gi/dynamic/offsite.htm?zi=1/XJ/Ya&sdn=weirdnews&zu=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.chessboxing.com%2F) Some dumb-ass variety of motor racing? Dutch Korfball? (This could be good. Korfball! The only mixed-sex team sport in the world, Mr. Internet says. That's not as good as a mixed-team sex sport, I suppose, but it's close enough for government work.) Here: cover the South Australia Korfball League: Go North Adelaide Roosters!
